The project consists of two new retail / restaurant buildings that were added to the site and provided new anchoring to the once empty parking lot. The architecture of the two buildings is a mixture of Googie Architecture and Mid-Century design that was prevalent in the East Pasadena community. Large expanses of glass, curving facades, elongated canopies, and hollowed out structural steel cantilevers make up the architecture of the structure and its trellises. The new structures have brought new life and community to the once baren intersection.
