Barrington Complex features a striking contemporary design – playfully shifting and intruding basic shapes to create an overlapping architectural expression that houses each building function.
Located in the Sawtelle neighborhood, Barrington Complex aims to activate the Santa Monica Blvd & S. Barrington Ave streets, providing a neighborhood grocery store, mixed-use building comprising of 60 residential units above and retail at the bottom, both colliding into and a flex-event space for arts, culture, and entertainment. Below the development are 4 levels of underground parking to accommodate grocery-goers, shoppers, event attendees and residents alike.
Currently an empty parking lot, Barrington Complex will repurpose a space that hopes to connect the surrounding community to more options for produce, product and play.
